The summer school for anaesthetists and resuscitators
The Summer School in Management of Medical and Surgical Emergencies (GEMEDIC) started on Monday, 3 October. It is aimed at recent graduates and residents in Anaesthesia and Resuscitation who will be involved in an intense week of training at the Sim-U-Med simulation centre and in the classrooms of the Anaesthesia and Surgery UOC of the Foggia General Hospital.
GEMEDIC will address paediatric and adult airway management, management of respiratory failure, haemorrhagic shock, cardiac arrest, polytrauma and nutrition in the critical patient. An innovative teaching method will be adopted based on high-fidelity simulations with high-performance manikins and instruments, educational games, and theoretical and practical lectures by Italian and European lecturers.
